4th of July MiniSeries PART 2: FOUR[TH OF JULY] OUTFIT IDEAS!
It's time to put away those Old Navy American flag tanks and pull out some summer trends. Off-shoulder tops, tassel earrings, and espadrilles are basically all I want to wear this season - fourth of July included. Earlier today, I went through my closet and put together four cute outfit ideas for the fourth (see what I did there?). I know we don't all have the same things in our closets but I'm just hoping to spark a little inspiration here!
When I picked out these outfits (below), I kept a few things in mind:
-Backyard barbecues, family picnics and watching fireworks all have one thing in common: the hot, I mean great, outdoors. Keeping it light and airy is definitely something you'll want to do.
-You may or may not notice that not a single one of the outfits I picked is tight-fitting. This way, when you are inevitably asked, "hotdog, hamburger?," you can give your real answer: "yes." Holiday calories don't count, people.
-Budget! No wallet was harmed in the making of these outfits. I already owned everything you see but I'll let you in on a little secret: almost every single thing is from either Forever 21, Nordstrom Rack, or TJ Maxx.
-Going for a patriotic theme doesn't necessarily mean having to wear the flag or all of red, white AND blue. Play with accessories to tie in all the 'Merica colors you want, in more of an understated way. (Although, if going full out is your thang, ignore me and wear those flags!)
What will you be wearing on Tuesday? :)
